The tung trees are now blooming with white flowers blanketing the mountains of Dashi Village, Anren County, Chenzhou City.
Dashi Village is located in the eastern part of Anren County, less than 5 kilometers away from the county seat. Covering an area of 9.6 square kilometers, it has 1,143 mu (76.2 hectares) of arable land and 35,000 mu (about 2,333.33 hectares) of forest land.
In recent years, Dashi Village has worked to promote the integration of forests and tourism to build a beautiful countryside. It has planted more than 10,000 mu (about 666.67 hectares) of trees and over 2,000 mu (about 133.33 hectares) of bamboo, with a forest coverage rate of over 90%.
With chirping birds, fragrant mountain flowers, ever-changing clouds, and fresh air, the village has become a preferred place for tourists from both inside and outside the province for leisure tourism, vacation, fishing, and hiking.
