A staff was explaining products to visitors at the booth of Hezhou Mining Investment Group. 

 

“The heavy calcium carbonate powder we produce is mainly processed from marble. It is first mined and transported to the factory by large machinery. After removing the gangue, the ore is crushed and ground. Finally, the obtained fine calcium carbonate powder is prepared into a suspension and further crushed in a mill. After dehydration and drying, the ultra-fine heavy calcium carbonate powder is formed,” said the staff , who introduced the production process of the product. 

 

 

Innovative products of calcium carbonate are also exhibited. 

 

“This calcium-based packaging box is composed of 60% calcium carbonate and 40% resin, which has better compression and moisture resistance compared to traditional cardboard boxes. It can degrade in a light environment within six months, and the price is also comparable to traditional cardboard boxes,” the staff explained. 

 

 

The non-woven fabrics, biodegradable tableware, eco-friendly bags and stone plastic panels produced from calcium carbonate materials have also attracted many visitors. 

 

“Previously, my knowledge of calcium carbonate only came from textbooks. Today, after listening to the explanation, I realized that the application of calcium carbonate is so widespread.” said a visitor.
