The Nanling Mountain Climate Museum is located on the first floor of the radar station in Yuexing Mountain Park. 

 

As the first meteorological science museum in the province with the Nanling mountain climate as the main research line, it covers the Nanling Mountain Sand Table, radar development history, major historical disaster weather process, interactive games, meteorological service practice and scientific research innovation and other parts. It aims to be a meteorological science popularization platform that integrates knowledge, science, interest, interaction and experience, and constantly improve the public’s meteorological sci-tech literacy, disaster prevention and 

mitigation awareness and disaster prevention and risk avoidance skills. 

 

 

Next, the municipal meteorological department will use the intelligent grid objective forecasting method to further study the mountain microclimate of Chenzhou in terms of the landform, climate characteristics, meteorological disasters and other aspects of Nanling Mountain, and constantly promote the modernization of Chenzhou’s meteorological science and technology capabilities and social services.
