At the conference, there were more than 10 themed symposiums, becoming the highlights of the conference. 

 

Data reporting is crucial in the information age. Reports such as “Tungsten Industry Data Release in 2024” and “Tungsten Market Forecast Price in August 2024” are beneficial for the tungsten and molybdenum industry to predict the future development. 

 

 

Rucheng County is where the conference was held. It is located at the junction of Hunan, Guangdong and Jiangxi provinces and the polymetallic metallogenic belt at the northern foot of the Nanling Mountains. 

 

There are more than 30 kinds of minerals, such as tungsten, molybdenum and tombarthite. 

 

In particular, tungsten reserves rank fourth in Chenzhou City, with a proven reserves of 100,000 tons.

 

 

Over the course of over a hundred years of mining and processing history, the local people have proficiently mastered relatively mature and complete mineral mining and processing techniques, actively developed mineral trade economy for a long time. 

 

At its peak, there were hundreds of non-ferrous metal mineral enterprises, making the county one of the main tungsten ore distribution centers in the country.

 

For many years, the county government has developed non-ferrous metals as a pillar industry and a traditional advantageous industry, playing a pivotal role in the county's economy and society. 

 

 

Currently, there are more than 30 non-ferrous metal mineral enterprises in Rucheng County, including 14 enterprises above a designated size. 

 

Last year, the non-ferrous metal industry in the county achieved an industrial output value of 2.286 billion yuan, accounting for 63.57% of the total industrial tax revenue.

 

Rucheng County regards industrial parks as one of the “three major engines”, focuses on leading industries such as mineral deep processing and modern stone, making every effort to attract and cultivate strong industries, promoting the transformation of the mining industry towards deep processing and new material development, and actively cultivating and developing new quality productivity.

 

 

The county government also held a tungsten molybdenum economic and trade fair during the conference. 

 

After watching a moving promotional video, an official of the county government  promoted Rucheng as a treasure land for investment and development from such aspects as the long history, profound culture, abundant natural resources, as well as favorable investment policies, broad industrial platforms, and high-quality business environment.   

 

Relying on the new industrial parks, the local government has worked to strengthen characteristic industries such as deep processing of agricultural products, deep processing of minerals, electronic information, and modern stone, which has aroused strong interest from various companies.

 

 

Colorful activities brought present guests chances to have in-depth exchanges. 

 

According to statistics, cooperation was reached for 179 projects at the economic and trade fair, involving such fields as tungsten and molybdenum mineral trade, processing, smelting and others, with a turnover of 4.2 billion yuan.
