Chilli pepper is a local characteristic planting industry in Rucheng County, Chenzhou City due to the beautiful scenery, large temperature difference between day and night and fertile soil.

 

 

 

In recent years, more and more farmers have been getting rich through chili pepper cultivation for its high yield and good sales.

 

As a traditional agricultural county in Chenzhou City, Rucheng has always regarded agricultural economy as the “ballast stone” for the development of the county economy.  

 

The Postal Savings Bank of China (PSBC) Chenzhou Branch has increased financial support for the development of characteristic industries in Rucheng County for a long time. 

 

Zhu Shuqing, who established Fanhua Food Company in Rucheng County, has expertise in chilli pepper cultivation. The company is a national key leading enterprise specializing in the production, processing and sales of chilli products, with over 20 varieties like Xiangru millet chilli, sauce chili and chopped chilli peppers. Chilli pepper has become a major industry in Rucheng County, which helps boost confidence in development. 

 

 

 

In 2017, Zhu Shuqing returned to his hometown to build a chilli pepper base and a processing plant. He also encouraged local farmers to plant chilli peppers. He provided seedlings and technologies. Regardless of market changes, he always purchased chili peppers at a guaranteed price. Over 6,000 impoverished households have shaken off poverty through chilli pepper cultivation. 

 

Apart from the 500,000-ton chilli processing production line in Rucheng Sanxing Industrial Park, Zhu Shuqing also requisitioned 70 mu (about 4.67 hectares) of industrial land to build new factories, warehouses and three new chilli pepper processing production lines.

 

It’s now the peak season for chilli pepper production. In addition to the funds required for planting chilli peppers, the company also needs a large amount of money to purchase chilies for producing cooked products like chili sauce. 

 

Faced with a shortage of working capital, Zhu Shuqing didn’t know what to do. 

 

He then came to the PSBC Chenzhou Branch to apply for a loan. After learning about his funding needs, the customer manager of the bank provided micro loan service for Zhu Shuqing. This kind of loan allows customers to handle credit business anytime and any where through channels such as mobile phone banking and online banking. 

 

Under the condition that all loan conditions are met, the company got a credit of 5 million yuan.

 

On May 23 of this year, at a special bank-enterprise matchmaking meeting held by PSBC Rucheng Branch in Rucheng County, they signed a cooperation agreement to increase the credit loan amount to 30 million yuan for Zhu Shuqing. The improved efficiency of financial services helps promote the flow of enterprise funds for the steady development of the company. 

 

 

 

Supporting the development of the chilli pepper industry in Rucheng County is just an example of the PSBC Chenzhou Branch’s efforts to promote the development of regional characteristic agricultural industries.
