Since its establishment in Chenzhou in 2022, the Hunan-Jiangxi-Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Traditional Chinese Medicine Industry Chain Collaborative Development Alliance has adopted a driving mechanism of “administration+market”, deepened the collaboration between Hunan, Jiangxi, Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, and continuously built the entire industry chain.

 

Chenzhou city is rich in TCM resources. It has a planting area of over 510,000 mu (34,000 hectares) of Chinese medicinal materials, with an annual total output of 380,000 tons, and an output value of 3.6 billion yuan. 

 

Among them, the planting area of Chinese medicinal materials in Guidong County reaches 250,000 mu (about 16,666.67 hectares), with an annual output value of 30,000 tons and an output value of about 1.32 billion yuan.

 

In recent years, the county government has focused on promoting wellness through Chinese medicinal materials, then strengthening medicine through wellness. 

 

During the conference, a series of activities including the unveiling of the academician project at the grassroots level, and an inspection and exchange of traditional Chinese medicine and cultural tourism industries in Guidong County were held. Seven companies signed cooperation agreements with traditional Chinese medicine and cultural tourism enterprises in Chenzhou.
