Wayaoping Scenic Area celebrated its first anniversary on August 25. Immersive performances, traditional Chinese games and other activities attracted many tourists.  

 

 

 

One year ago, Wayaoping was opened to the public. Wayaoping, with its unique historical style and cultural heritage, has demonstrated its charm to the world.

 

 

 

Wayaoping, Cuijiangju Homestay Inn, the dock, and Mahuangqiu have attracted many tourists to come here for sightseeing and entertainment. And it has become one of the most popular Internet-famous scenic spots in Chenzhou in 2023.

 

 

 

In the past year, Wayaoping has attracted numerous businesses of different kinds. Wayaoping is not only a business card of Chenzhou’s cultural tourism, but also an important carrier for inheriting and promoting the excellent traditional Chinese culture. 

 

 

 

Wayaoping inherits elements of folk culture, flower and tree culture, and memories of Chenzhou. It has been developed into an open and characteristic block that integrates culture, leisure, and food. 

 

 

 

Last year, it won honors such as the 19th China Cultural and Tourism Starlight Award and the 2023 Outstanding Influential Cultural Scenic Area.

 

 

 

Since the beginning of this year, the scenic area has also launched three boutique tourist routes--ancient village boat tour, bamboo raft tour and mountain viewing tour. From February to August, the tourist reception volume increased by over 90% year-on-year.
