The 2024 Hunan (Chenzhou) Food Consumption Season was launched in Beihu District, Chenzhou City on the evening of August 28.
This event aims to further boost the consumption potential of Chenzhou cuisine and promote the development of the Chenzhou cuisine industry.
At the launching ceremony, main activities for the consumption season were released. Anren grinding chili pepper, Guiyang diced pork in pot and Jiahe boiled spicy pork and other 12 local traditional dishes were showcased. The selection of famous ingredients, famous restaurants, famous dishes and famous snacks was launched.
The matchmaking event of introducing local high-quality ingredients into restaurants, as well as new experience activities for landmark food and beverage consumption was also held.
The Chenzhou Food Consumption Season is held from August to December. The main activities include one launch ceremony, 8 independent food selection activities and one promotion activity for Chenzhou’s famous products into Foshan, Guangdong Province.
Through online and offline ways, the event aims to create a food business card and a consumption scenario for Chenzhou cuisine, promote Chenzhou food into the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and boost the scale-up, branding and internationalization of the Chenzhou cuisine industry.
The catering industry is the largest category in the total retail sales of consumer goods, which plays an irreplaceable role in promoting consumption, benefiting people's livelihoods, and stabilizing employment.
Chenzhou city’s catering industry achieved a turnover of 6.52 billion yuan in the first half of this year, a year-on-year increase of 13.4%, ranking among the top three in the province.
