Shine Muscat grapes cover the vines in a vineyard of Tansha Village, Taihe Town, Guiyang County, bringing wealth to villagers.
In the past, farmers in Tansha Village mainly relied on traditional crop cultivation, with meager income, and faced many challenges in rural development.
In 2021, with the help of the local government, the village introduced the Shine Muscat grape industry, planting grapes on the land of 37 mu (about 2.47 hectares), and now the grapes are welcoming a bumper harvest.
“We adopt a model of individual contracting and fixed dividend. This year’s output is expected to be over 1,500 kg, which can bring an income of more than 50,000 yuan to the village collective economy and create over 40 job opportunities for villagers,” said Hu Chengyong, Party secretary of the village.
Planting Shine Muscat grapes not only brings abundant economic benefits to farmers, but also drives employment opportunities for farmers in the village. Villagers earn money at their doorstep from such works as weeding, pest control and fertilization.
Now, Shine Muscat grapes are ripe in the village. The mature grapes are green, plump and sweet with the aroma of roses.
Shine Muscat grapes are deeply loved by consumers. Though the vineyard has just opened this year, the sales has exceeded 200,000 yuan.
Next, the village will continue to increase investment and management in the vineyard, promote the development of the collective economy, drive farmers to increase income, and promote rural revitalization.
