In recent days, many tourists have come to Yizhang County, known as the “hometown of hot springs in China”, to enjoy a bath in hot springs.
There are more than 60 characteristic hot spring pools at the Yizhang Mangshan Forest Hot Spring Hotel. At 8 p.m. in the evening, tourists soak in the hot water to enjoy a different leisure time.
The hotel is close to the Mangshan Scenic Area, so many tourists will come here to relax themselves in hot springs after climbing the mountain.
“I felt a bit tired after hiking in the mountain during the day, so I took a bath in the hot spring at night with my family, which washes away the fatigue of the day and makes me refreshed,” said a tourist, adding that the hot spring products are also very rich, and she will come again next year.
The hot spring water of the hotel is drawn from 600 meters underground, with a water temperature of 55.5 degrees Celsius. It is rich in various trace elements and minerals good for human health such as silicic acid, which can promote blood circulation, accelerate metabolism, maintain skin in good condition and prevent various joint diseases.
As the hot spring tours are heating up in autumn, the hotel has launched a series of hot spring health products, and the number of tourists received has increased. “We have launched hot spring products such as Yao ethnic healthy meals and characteristic health pools to enrich tourists’ travel experience. Currently, we receive 800 tourists per day, an increase of 20% compared to the same period last year, with 80% of them coming from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area,” said Yuan Dapeng, deputy general manager of the hotel.
In the “hot spring villages” such as Tanghuli and Yongkou in Yizhang, the complete supporting facilities have attracted many domestic and foreign tourists for hot spring bathing. Autumn hot spring tours has ushered in a peak season.
In recent years, Yizhang County has increased efforts to develop geothermal resources, and driven the vigorous development of secondary and tertiary industries such as homestays and catering through the hot spring industry, in a bid to boost economy based on its “thermal resources”.
According to statistics from the culture and tourism department of Yizhang County, since the beginning of this year, more than 130 hot spring scenic areas in the county have received over 560,000 tourists, and achieved a comprehensive tourism revenue of over 700 million yuan.
