The “Exploring Hunan: A Culinary Adventure” Season 2 will explore the food culture in Southern Hunan. A team led by Wang Han, a famous host, went to Chenzhou for its local cuisine recently.
Mangshan Mountain is like a natural oxygen bar, with the forest coverage rate of over 99%. It has unique mountains, clear water, secluded forests, strange rocks, and fresh air. Despite the variable climate and complex terrain, it is the first mountain in China where tourists can enjoy a barrier-free tour.
Following “a plant expert”, the team members get to know various plants on the mountain, like azaleas, wikstroemia monnula, one of the raw materials for Renminbi, and buxus sinica var. parvifolia, which is more than 200 years old. There is a thousand-foot waterfall and towering hemlock trees in Jiangjun Village deep in the Mangshan Mountain.
They taste the work meal of mountain patrolmen together. Bittersweet stir-fried bamboo shoots with minced meat, appetizing dried black bean fish, and naturally fragrant stir-fried glutinous rice grass are all essential delicacies for mountain patrolmen.
At dinner, they taste various special dishes of the local Yao people, like black dolphin pork balls and stir-fried black dolphin meat, made with Mangshan Black Porpoise raised on special feed. They chat with local women and learn the local dialect to experience their simple life and happiness.
Let’s follow the variety show on Hunan TV and Mango TV at 19:30 every Sunday to Thursday to explore more beautiful scenery and delicious food.
