Farmers were busy picking and caring for mushrooms at a planting base in Pingshang Village, Anping Town, Anren County, Chenzhou on September 18.
In recent years, the village has helped enterprises with industrial upgrade, expand planting scale, improve mushroom strains, and enhance the quality of mushrooms, through the cooperation model of company plus farmer plus village collective.
At present, the village has 15 mushroom production bases, mainly cultivating such varieties as pleurotus cornucopiae, pleurotus geesteranus, and morel mushrooms. There are more than 300 villagers engaged in the mushroom industry, with an annual output of 10 million mushroom packs and 5,000 tons of fresh mushrooms, with a total output value of 60 million yuan.
