This activity revolves around the Shennong culture of Anren County, with tourist attractions related to Shennong culture in the county connected to form an attractive tourist route. It also introduces cultural and creative products based on local culture and scenic features to promote its cultural tourism resources. 

 

Anren, a small town in southern Hunan, borders Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao to the south, and Changsha, Zhuzhou, Xiangtan to the north. With beautiful scenery, it is known as the “former county of Shennong”, “Southern Medicinal Capital”, and “blessed land on the earth”.

 

 

The long-standing medicinal culture, together with agricultural culture and textile culture, jointly make up the Shennong cultural system. As one of the closest neighbors of the GBA, the continuous improvement of transportation has also facilitated the travel of tourists from the GBA to the county. 

 

The Chaling-Changning Expressway is one of the important transportation corridors connecting the GBA.

 

The biggest feature of Anren is its long-standing legend of Shennong, with many scenic spots related to Shennong. There are numerous cultural imprints related to Shennong in the county, such as Shennong Valley, medicine-sunning ground,  Shennong Spring, Shennong Hall, Jiulong Temple, which have become material relics of Shennong culture and are admired by the world.

 

 

The invited guests will visit beautiful attractions such as Shennong Baicao Garden, Shenle Park, Xiongfeng Mountain Forest Park, and Anren Paddy Field Park, to experience the charm of the cultural tourism in Anren.

 

The local government of Anren County hoped to further explore Shennong culture, connect characteristic scenic spots, and design quality self-driving tour routes, so as to attract more GBA tourists to Anren, thus making Anren the most beautiful tourist destination and then promoting the high-quality development of Anren’s cultural tourism industry.
