Equipment upgrading helps promote circular economy

Daling Village in Zhangshu Town of Yongxing County has achieved a dual leap in quality and production efficiency of bamboo products through equipment upgrading at its bamboo product factory, forming a circular economy for bamboo products. This not only promotes the prosperous development of the bamboo industry in mountainous areas, but also significantly increases the economic income of local residents, and provides strong support for the comprehensive green transformation of the economy and society.
In the production workshop of Daling Village, bamboo raw materials with a thickness of more than 10 millimeters are mechanized and sent to an automated production line for flattening, planing, and finally wrapped into bamboo toothpicks and chopsticks.
The bamboo shavings produced by the machine are then sent to another workshop and will be processed into mosquito repellent raw materials.
The head of the factory said that before upgrading, it could produce about 20 tons per day. Now, with the help of this automatic mechanical transfer, it can produce about 30 tons per day.
After the production transformation and upgrading, the profit of bamboo products has also significantly increased, and the circular economy of bamboo has become an important opportunity for the local bamboo industry to achieve transformation and upgrading.
In addition, the company also fully utilizes the scraps generated during the production process.
The bamboo products are mainly sold to local areas, Guangxi and Jiangxi.
At present, the factory has built a complete industrial chain, from upstream bamboo wire drawing and bamboo sheet processing, to midstream bamboo stick and bamboo chopstick production, and downstream bamboo mosquito repellent incense and other diversified product manufacturing, achieving deep development and circular utilization of bamboo resources and forming a unique bamboo “circular economy” system.
This mode not only optimizes the allocation of resources, improves the added value of bamboo products, but also effectively promotes the transformation and upgrading of industries in the mountainous area, laying a solid foundation for the green and sustainable development of the local economy.
