Developing village collective economy is an important lever to promote rural revitalization. Fuxi Village in Zhuquan Town of Jiahe County has created a number of vegetable greenhouses to increase the income of the village collective and villagers.

 

 

Bitter gourd and chili peppers are now growing well in the vegetable greenhouse of Fuxi Village. 

 

Ouyang Wenbai, Party secretary of the village, said, “It is the first year of trial planting in the vegetable greenhouse of the village this year, with a good yield and the village collective income of about 100,000 yuan. It also provides jobs for local villagers.”

 

 

Based on selenium-rich soil and market demand, Fuxi Village is determined to develop high value-added vegetables such as bitter gourd and chili peppers. It has established a professional cooperative to develop the village collective economy and drive villagers to increase income at their doorstep.

 

“I am quite happy to work in the village, because I can take care of children while earning some money,” said a villager from Fuxi Village.

 

 

Thanks to the scientific and rational layout and refined management, greenhouse vegetables in the village have become popular in the market, injecting strong impetus into the village collective economy. 

 

“Next, I plan to increase vegetable greenhouses to boost the collective income of the village,” said Ouyang Wenbai.
