Mangshan National Forest Park is located in Yizhang County, Chenzhou City, with a total area of 198.33 square kilometers and a forest coverage rate of 99.01%. It has the largest and best preserved primary evergreen broad-leaved forest in the same latitude zone on Earth, as well as abundant flora and fauna resources. 

 

It is known as the “green pearl in the same latitude zone on Earth” and the “gene bank of flora and fauna”. 

 

Mangshan is a tourist destination with excellent ecological environment. It’s been rated as a national 4A level scenic spot, a national science popularization education base, a provincial ecological civilization education base in Hunan Province, and one of the top ten summer resorts in Hunan Province.

 

In addition, Mangshan Wuzhi Peak, the core scenic spot of Mangshan National Forest Park, is the first mountain-type scenic spot that realizes barrier-free travel through such facilities as ropeways, barrier-free walkway and elevators.
