Two theme activities and five sub activities will be held during this period, including the opening ceremony, cultural tourism promotion meetings and rural happy run. 

 

Over 300 people including leaders and guests at all levels, representatives of the cultural tourism industry, hot spring wellness experts, representatives of enterprises and associations, as well as over 100,000 locals and visitors participated. 

 

Rucheng County is adjacent to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, with a history of over 1600 years. It’s the home to the main battlefield for the Red Army to break through the second blockade line during the Long March, a famous historical and cultural city in Hunan province, and a national demonstration area for ecological civilization. It’s known as a famous city for Neo-Confucianism and the hometown of ancient temples in China. 

 

 

It has advantageous cultural tourism resources, Red culture, hot springs, green ecology and nonferrous industry. 

 

After such classic landmarks as the Hunan (Rucheng) Long March Cultural Exhibition and Inheritance Hall, the workers’ cultural palace were opened last year, more than 10 key projects have been launched this year. 

 

It has also focused on Red Shazhou, hometown of hot springs, to promote the upgrading and transformation of the exhibition hall of “Warmth of Half a Quilt” and the old site of the Rucheng Conference of the Xiangnan Uprising. 

 

A group of Internet-famous attractions like Xiushui Love Valley, Little Lijiang River have been built. 

 

 

Now, the county has built 3 4A tourist attractions and 7 3A tourist attractions.

 

In recent years, the county government has tapped into the advantages of cultural tourism resources to develop the tourism plus other industries, with a number of important festivals held like hot spring tourism festival, cole flowers festival and tea culture festival, as well as wonderful activities such as China (Hunan) Outdoor Fitness and Leisure Conference. 

 

Data showed that in the first three quarters of this year, the county received 5.2527 million visitors and generated a tourism income of 5.326 billion yuan, an increase of 11.63% and 11.88% year on year respectively.
