In recent years, Chenzhou City has promoted football in schools to advance the all-round development of students. As of now, there are a total of 181 national youth campus football characteristic schools in the city. Two municipal-level school football matches are held every year.

 

Nearly 200 junior high school graduates have been admitted to high school through football every year. The high school women’s football team has won the championship in Hunan Province for two consecutive years and was listed among the top eight high school women’s football teams in the 2023-2024 National Youth Campus Football League.

 

Wang Jingyu graduated from Xiangnan University Affiliated Primary School, a national youth campus football characteristic school, in July 2018.

 

From September 2018 to July 2021, she studied at Chenzhou No.6 Middle School, a national youth campus football characteristic school. She was selected for the women’s football team of the school to participate in amateur training for her outstanding athletic ability and excellent academic performance.

 

In 2020, she participated in the junior high school finals of the Hunan Youth Campus Football League on behalf of the Education Bureau of Chenzhou City.

 

In 2021, she participated in the Hunan Youth Football Championship on behalf of Chenzhou City and won the title of “National First-class Athlete”.

 

In August 2021, she was admitted to Chenzhou No.2 High School for her talents in sports. The school is a demonstration high school in Hunan Province and a national youth campus football characteristic school.

 

She was admitted to Beijing Sport University in 2024. She joined China’s national women’s futsal football team in December 2024 for the final of the 2025 AFC Women’s Futsal Asian Cup.
