Recently, 14 TEUs of about 400 tons of fluorite ore imported from Nigeria were transported through the Hunan-Guangdong-Africa rail-sea intermodal transportation channel from Nansha Port to Chenzhou Land Port, and finally successfully arrived at the Yizhang factory.
This followed the full bill of lading transportation of imported zinc ore through Hunan-Guangdong-Africa rail-sea intermodal transportation channel from Nigeria.
There are now more categories of imported mineral products at Chenzhou Land Port, which will provide strong support for increasing trade volume with Africa.
Xie Zhiyu, general manager of Chenzhou Hunan-Guangdong-Africa International Logistics Co., Ltd., said, “now, we will cooperate with COSCO Shipping to expand new sources of goods and develop new routes, and help enterprises successfully complete overseas orders.”
Another batch of 12 TEUs of fluorite ore shipped from Nigeria is expected to arrive at Chenzhou Land Port by the end of December through sea-rail intermodal bill of lading mode.
Compared with the traditional logistics mode of “devanning at port and land transportation by bulk cargo truck” commonly used by smelters and mineral traders before, it has significant advantages of high safety, low logistics costs, and less cargo damage.
Next, Chenzhou Land Port will focus on the construction of a pilot zone for deep economic and trade cooperation between China and Africa, actively make precise efforts in the international logistics channel services of China-Africa economic and trade, further promote the new mode of bill of lading logistics for sea-rail intermodal transportation, expand the boutique routes of Hunan-Guangdong-Africa rail-sea intermodal transportation channel to help reduce costs and increase efficiency in China-Africa trade.
