Xiangwan Village is located at the foot of Jinzixian, the highest peak in Anren County. It’s shrouded in clouds and mist all year round. It’s rich in forest and tea resources. It has 800 mu (about 53.33 hectares) of tea gardens. 100-mu (about 6.67 hectares) tea gardens planted by the village collective in 2023 are expected to be harvested for the first time in spring 2025.

At present, a “water-fertilizer integrated drip irrigation system” has been built in all tea gardens, which has become a major highlight of the facility agriculture and the use of technology to resist drought and ensure harvest in the local area.

Anren County has promoted the full mechanization and comprehensive agricultural services. The “innovative model of agricultural machinery services to promote development” has been included among typical cases of national agricultural mechanization technology promotion.

It has popularized multi-functional agricultural machinery according to local conditions, with comprehensive mechanization rates of 89% and 80% for rice and rapeseed cultivation and harvesting respectively.

It has strengthened technical support and developed smart agriculture based on meteorological forecasting systems, pest and disease monitoring systems, and IoT big data systems.

It has built modern centralized seedling raising facilities and guided enterprises to carry out centralized seedling raising operations for crops such as tobacco, morel mushrooms, and rice.

All these measures aim to promote the transformation and upgrading of characteristic agricultural industries and increase agricultural efficiency as well as farmers’ income.
