Currently, Suxian District has formed a characteristic agricultural machinery and equipment manufacturing industry led by Hunan Nongfu Machinery & Electronic Co., Ltd., Hunan Chenzhou Grain and Oil Machinery Co., Ltd., and Hunan Tianye Modern Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd. In Suxian District, agricultural machines are assembled in an orderly manner on the production lines of enterprises.

 

The hilly and mountainous areas account for about 70% of the cultivated land area in Chenzhou, with intertwined paddy fields and dry land. It poses a natural obstacle to agricultural production. But it is precisely this environment that has inspired the potential of Chenzhou people.

 

 

“Our company features the manufacturing of agricultural machinery in hilly and mountainous areas, and the market share of tracked tractors in China has exceeded 66% for four consecutive years. In the first four months of 2024, all production lines were operating at overload, and the order volume in Colombia has doubled compared to previous years,” said Shou Yuanfeng, technical director of Hunan Nongfu Machinery & Electronic Co., Ltd.

 

With small plots and narrow working spaces in hilly and mountainous areas, agricultural machinery enterprises in Suxian District have carried out technical research and development. Crawler tractors have achieved in-situ turning and have a maximum climbing angle of over 25 degrees.

 

The small agricultural machinery developed by Hunan Nongfu Machinery & Electronic Co., Ltd. can also handle various application scenarios. Its integrated ridge and fertilizer machine is suitable for tobacco ridge forming and outdoor vegetable planting. Its low-profile greenhouse track tractor is suitable for orchards and vegetable greenhouses. Its remote control multifunctional rural management machine can be used for irrigation and pesticide spraying in tea gardens and orchards. Its electric tracked transport vehicles can be used for picking and transporting Bingtang oranges and navel oranges.

 

In the new era, the agricultural machinery industry in Suxian District has also explored intelligent manufacturing to make agricultural machinery smarter. In 2023, Hunan Nongfu Machinery & Electronic Company invested over 20 million yuan in the intelligent renovation of the original production line. Hunan Chenzhou Grain and Oil Machinery Company invested 250 million yuan to build a 5G smart factory with an area of 40,000 square meters, increasing production capacity by nearly 50%. They have jointly built a “cloud sales platform” for agricultural machinery in Suxian District, together with Hunan Tianye Modern Intelligent Equipment Company, forming a one-stop service system integrating research and development, production, sales, and after-sales.

 

The three enterprises are leading ones in the intelligent agricultural machinery. They supply more than 30% of grain machinery products and 65% of rubber tracked tractors nationwide. In 2023, Suxian District achieved the output value of 2.219 billion yuan for modern equipment industry. Its intelligent agricultural machinery products have been exported to nearly 20 countries and regions in Southeast Asia, Africa, etc., with 15 million US dollars in foreign exchange.

 

Suxian District will make efforts to achieve main revenue of over 2 billion yuan from enterprises above designated size in the agricultural machinery manufacturing industry in 2027, with an average annual growth rate of 10.2%. It will build one one-billion-yuan enterprise and one 500-million-yuan enterprise in the agricultural machinery and equipment industry, and achieve 30 million US dollars in self-operated exports.
