Tourists visited the Baoshan mineral development site on a small train to learn about the mining culture of Guiyang for more than two thousand years, and appreciate the development of mining and metallurgical technology. The ancient mining sites, modern mining relics, colorful ores, and mine explorations inside the mine won praise from tourists.

 

In order to create a strong festive atmosphere for tourists and allow more people to experience the traditional customs of the Spring Festival, the Baoshan National Mining Park launched interactive activities such as welcoming the God of Wealth and cutting the character “福” (it means fortune). Tourists participated in fun activities like Touhu and writing Spring Festival couplets. The inheritors of Paper Cuttings were invited to cut “福” on red paper for tourists.

 

 

Ouyang Yuping, director of the Operations Department of the park, said, “During the Spring Festival holiday, we launched many interactive experience projects for tourists. There were more staff working during the holiday to provide tourists with a better experience, enabling them to further understand the history of geological mining, and experience the unique charm of mining and metallurgical culture.”
