According to the local commerce authority of Chenzhou city, during the 8-day Spring Festival holiday, the city has seen sufficient supply in consumer goods market, stable prices and booming supply and sales.
33 key commercial and retail enterprises achieved a total sales revenue of over 165 million yuan during the holiday, an increase of 7.47% year on year.
Shopping malls and supermarkets are the “main battlefield” for Spring Festival consumption. During the Spring Festival holiday, major commercial circulation enterprises carried out different kinds of promotional activities for New Year’s goods, which successfully stimulated the festival consumption.
At the same time, Chenzhou’s beautiful natural scenery attracted numerous tourists. Various scenic spots also launched theme activities to further boost the Chinese New Year consumer market.
Jiulongjiang National Forest Park held a folk art festival to celebrate the Spring Festival, allowing tourists to enjoy a unique New Year experience in the forest.
Guiyang County held an art exhibition, which drew more tourists to visit the cultural park and drove consumption in the surrounding retail and catering businesses.
Chenzhou Top Devices actively continued promotional activities like national subsidies, New Year gifts, attracting citizens for trade- in of old consumer goods.
Data showed that the sales revenue of Hyper-mart reached 9.2354 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 255.84%. Suning’s sales revenue was 80,000 yuan, a year-on-year increase of 20%. The sales revenue of Guiyang Baolan Plaza was 460,000 yuan, a year-on-year increase of 228.57%. Guiyang Pufeng Supermarket Co., Ltd. had a sales revenue of 1.1985 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 27.23%.
Apart from shopping at supermarkets, people also tasted delicious food during the holiday. Food streets, restaurants and other places in Chenzhou city were bustling.
Some mass consumer catering enterprises launched special activities to stimulate consumption. At the same time, some catering businesses utilized platforms like Meituan and Ele.me to launch online and offline consumption to meet the consumption needs of residents and promote consumption upgrading.
Data showed that 15 key catering enterprises monitored achieved a total turnover of 3.1502 million yuan during the holiday.
