At the agricultural material warehouse in Shuangtang Village, Wushui Town, workers were busy unloading packages of fertilizers from trailers. Although spring plowing is usually carried out in February and March when the temperature warms up, the agricultural material reserve work in Linwu County has already been launched around the Spring Festival.

 

“The company has introduced efficient and low-toxicity bio fertilizers, which can effectively improve soil structure and promote crop growth. Currently, there are 200 tons of bio fertilizers in the company. As spring plowing is coming, surrounding farmers and large growers have placed orders, with the order quantity reaching 30% of the total agricultural materials. Meanwhile, the company has seen increasing orders,” said Deng Shuaijun, head of Linwu County Shunfeng Agricultural Production Materials Co., Ltd.

 

This year, agricultural production in Linwu County requires about 38,000 tons of fertilizers. Local agricultural material sales enterprises can supply a total of 12,700 tons, and the remaining 25,000 tons will be purchased from outside the county. 

 

 

The overall purchase price has remained stable this year, and some fertilizers have slightly decreased in price due to a slight drop in raw material prices, with a fall of 5% to 8%. The prices of hybrid rice varieties, hybrid corn varieties, agricultural films, pesticides, etc. have all increased. 

 

To avoid the impact of price increases on the supply of agricultural materials, Linwu County has reserved more than 1,300 tons of fertilizers in advance. At present, all operating enterprises and branches have sufficient fertilizers to meet the annual demand for agricultural inputs.

 

Huang Xi, head of the Cooperation Guidance Unit of Linwu County Supply and Marketing Cooperative Federation, said that in the future, the supply and marketing cooperative will continue to organize agricultural material enterprises within the supply and marketing cooperative system reach out to various agricultural material production enterprises for production and sales, and guide agricultural material stores to purchase fertilizers and other agricultural materials on time, in a bid to ensure the stable price and sufficient supply of agricultural materials in the whole county.
