The 2025 Chenzhou Ingredients as well as Intangible Cultural Heritage Food Fair was held on March 4 in Chenzhou City. It attracted over 70 food ingredients companies, over 100 catering purchasers and over 1,000 visitors to participate, with a contract amount of 100 million yuan.

Chenzhou’s ingredients like Dongjiang Fish, Linwu water tofu and seasonings were showcased at the quality food ingredients exhibition area.
Some exhibitors even cooked these ingredients on the site and invited visitors to taste them. Many food and beverage buyers immediately decided to place orders after tasting.
The purchasers often emphasized the freshness of ingredients. A purchaser said that it’s a good opportunity for buyers to learn about so many unique agricultural products in Chenzhou and build a cooperation bridge between local ingredient enterprises and catering enterprises.
Cooperation and communication are important matters for both exhibitors and buyers. Huang Ping is such a special exhibitor. She showcased the agricultural product “Gold Egg” this time.
After her own booth was well arranged, she took some time to walk around. She has her own store and she hopes to expand the customer base and find more suppliers through this exhibition.
At the intangible cultural heritage food fair, visitors tasted authentic Chenzhou food like Anren sweet potato noodles and bamboo wine, and felt the unique charm of the intangible cultural heritage, which injected new vitality into the inheritance and innovation of Hunan cuisine culture.
Local catering enterprises and procurement managers of government canteens were invited to negotiate at the production and sales docking meeting. A special negotiation area has been set up to allow both suppliers and demanders to engage in in-depth discussions on topics such as food procurement and supply chain cooperation.
This event not only showcased the unique charm of high-quality ingredients and intangible cultural heritage cuisine in Chenzhou, but also provided new ideas for the innovative development of Hunan cuisine.
Feng Yalin, the president of the Hunan Cuisine Industry Promotion Association in Chenzhou City, said, “We constantly collect and find out good local ingredients, promote and showcase them, in a bid to smooth the ‘last mile’ from the base to the dining table, create sales channels for planting and breeding enterprises, and solve the purchasing difficulties for catering businesses.”
The on-site transaction volume hit about 7 million yuan during the fair, and 10 quality food supply enterprises reached strategic cooperation with a contract amount of 100 million yuan. These orders will inject strong momentum into Chenzhou’s food enterprises, and help Chenzhou products go outside through the wide market of GBA.
