The festival kicked off with a dynamic dance. Subsequently, exciting cultural and artistic performances such as the song and dance as well as square dances written, directed, and performed by villagers were staged in turn. Meanwhile, at the cole flower field, dancers and bands gave wonderful performances for tourists.

 

At this festival, dozens of rural local products from 16 local professional cooperatives for agricultural and sideline products were displayed, to help farmers increase income. 

 

 

In order to accelerate the construction of a model area for rural revitalization and leisure agriculture in Yizhang County, Yangmeishan Town has developed 2,800 mu (186.67 hectares) of rice and rapeseed through rotation based on its unique resource advantages in recent years. Every spring when cole flowers bloom, it becomes one of the preferred destinations for citizens in Chenzhou to go on outings. 

 

“In order to enhance tourists’ experience, we have improved the Rainbow Trail and other facilities, added Minions and windmills for tourists to take shots,” said Wu Hailong, Party secretary of Yangmeishan Town. 

 

 

Starting from 2023, Yangmeishan Town has attracted about 200,000 tourists through the annual cole flower festival, driving sales of agricultural and sideline products worth over 12 million yuan. Next, it will promote the deep integration of agriculture, culture, and tourism, improve basic facilities, innovate highlights of the flower economy, to build the Pinghedong area into an ideal place that tourists yearn for.
