More than 300 mu (2 hectares) of Nai plum flowers are in full bloom at the Wanzan Fruit Planting Professional Cooperative in Xinfang Village, Xinfang Township, Guidong County.

Fruit farmers were busy clearing weeds and dredging ditches. The head of the cooperative was also explaining to the fruit farmers the knowledge of soil conservation and fertilization of Nai plum trees, as well as the comprehensive prevention and control of pests and diseases.
“March is a critical period for the management of Nai plum trees, which is particularly important during the flowering period. We need ensure that trees can grow better through scientific fertilization and timely pruning,” said Fu Xinquan, head of the cooperative.
The cooperative has a Nai plum garden of 380 mu (about 25.33 hectares). The Nai plums are golden in color, large in size, and fragrant, which are mainly sold to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. They are highly favored by consumers. With the annual output value of over 3.6 million yuan, Nai plum has become a pillar industry in the local area, helping 140 households achieve stable income.
“The cooperative is committed to improving the quality of fruits, achieving a bountiful harvest every year, and driving villagers to boost income,” said Fu Xinquan.
