Since 2024, the county government has actively organized agricultural technology experts to conduct training on edible fungi and traditional Chinese medicine planting techniques in greenhouses. A total of more than 50 training sessions have been given. 

 

This way has effectively promoted the development of agricultural production. 

 

In the intelligent workshop of Tongrong Mushroom Industry, Yuan Wanggou, general manager of the company, said that he has been involved in edible mushroom cultivation for over 20 years. Whenever he encounters technical difficulties, he can consult with the provincial and county sci-tech experts, so he has no need to worry about planting technology.  

 

Now, the company is equipped with pieces of advanced equipment such as automated mixers and intelligent CNC high-pressure sterilization boilers, achieving intelligent constant temperature production and greatly improving production efficiency and product quality. 

 

As a hometown of edible fungi in China, Pingshang village has built eight production bases to plant multiple varieties of mushrooms, including pleurotus cornucopiae, pleurotus geesteranus and morel, providing job opportunities for more than 300 villagers. 

 

The village secretary said that they would further develop the edible mushroom industry, expand the scale of cultivation, improve the product quality, and inject stronger impetus into rural revitalization.

 

The county has an area of 1,500 mu (100 hectares) of edible mushroom bases, and 11 professional cooperatives. More than 3,200 people are engaged in edible mushroom industry. It produces 12 million mushroom bags annually and 30,000 tons of fresh mushrooms. Its products are sold to Guangzhou, Shanghai, Changsha, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and other places, with an annual output value of 150 million yuan.
