Yongxing county sees sales boom in bingtang orange seedlings

Citrus seedlings including bingtang orange in Yongxing county of Chenzhou city ushered in the spring sales boom. The bingtang orange virus-free breeding center in Yongxing county with the mature management system and technical advantages came out on top in Chenzhou’s high-quality bingtang orange seedlings market, greatly promoting industrial upgrading.
Since the spring of 2025, the breeding center has sold more than 30,000 seedlings, driving the prosperity of the county’s bingtang orange industry, and helping more than 200 fruit farmers around to complete the variety renewal.
In the modern seedling greenhouse, technicians use advanced equipment to monitor the key indicators of seedling growth.
Tang Yongfeng, head of the breeding center, said that the “Tangxianglong” bingtang orange seedlings cultivated by virulence free technology are growing well, and the sugar content of the sugar oranges is stable at more than 13 degrees, which are favored by fruit farmers for the outstanding quality.
To reduce the cost and risk of fruit farmers, the breeding center launched the managed service last year to simplify the seedling rearing process, save time and money for fruit farmers, reduce the chance of disease, so that fruit farmers can focus on orchard maintenance and improve management efficiency.
At the same time, the breeding center actively connects with the government and other departments to seek for preferential policies for farmers who are troubled by citrus greening disease to reduce their burden.
In the future, the breeding center will continue to optimize the service system, introduce excellent citrus varieties for cultivation research, explore innovative
industrial development models, create greater value for fruit farmers, and promote Yongxing bingtang orange industry to a new height.
