Mulberries ripe in Longguiping village

Mulberries in the ecological orchard in Longguiping village of Fenshi town are ripe in early summer, attracting many citizens and tourists to pick.

According to the person in charge of the orchard, with the warm climate and abundant sunlight this year, there are excellent conditions for the growth of mulberries. The orchard adheres to green planting, using organic fertilizer and manual weeding throughout the process, minimizing the use of pesticides, so that the mulberries are plump and juicy. 
 
The picking period lasts from mid April to mid May. The average daily sales volume can reach over 500 kg.
 
Cao Huafang, head of the orchard, added that the picking period of mulberries is greatly affected by weather conditions. If the weather is good, the picking period can last up to a month, but if not, there are only about 20 days for picking.

Mulberry is deeply loved by people. It has a unique taste and is known as the “natural blood nourishing fruit”, especially suitable for modern sub-health regulation. 
 
At present, the base has two varieties of mulberries, with a total area of about 60 mu (4 hectares) and a yield of about 250 to 300 kilograms per mu (0.067 hectares).
 
Cao Huafang told the reporter that the mulberries are mainly for tourist picking, sold retail, and supplied to supermarkets and fruit stores.
 
Besides, the mulberry leaves are also edible. 
 
The orchard also offers delivery services for freshly picked mulberries.
