In recent days, Chenzhou Municipal Youth League Committee has been busy in checking the real situation for orphans and single parent poor students and issuing the “Huaxi Orphans Funds” to them accordingly.

Chenzhou Youth Development Foundation was established in 2000, the exclusive legal organization for Chenzhou Hope Project implementation. Following the principal of helping the poor students back to school, build more hope primary schools, and improve conditions of rural schools, 41 million yuan collected funds was spent building 172 hope primary schools, improving over 80 schools’ conditions, subsidizing 71000 students and issuing 10 million yuan subventions, etc.. From 2009 on, Chenzhou Youth Development Foundation has extended the service areas on the basis of Chenzhou local situation, which plays more functions of helping the poor and environment protection. What’s more, Chenzhou green fund, Huaxi orphans fund, Chenzhou fire control scholarship, Artist kindhearted fund, etc. were added with more than 2 million yuan.

On July 16, 2012, “Lotus students”, “Huaxi orphan funds”, “Chenzhou artist love funds” and other scholarships were launched officially by the foundation. All the funds will be issued to poor students or orphans such as Chenzhou college freshmen and sophomores, students from junior and senior middle schools, or primary schools. Students can consult with local Youth League Committee and Hope project office for the details, and submit the application accordingly. After reporting and approving by Chenzhou Municipal Youth League Foundation, the scholarship will be issued under unified arrangement.
