In recent days, Xiao Wubing-one of the grape farmers of Wuling village of Yizhang county was busy in handling his grape business. “Thanks to the new roads, some clients drive to our fruit park directly to purchase the grape.”gladly said by Xiao.

Yanjiang village is a widely known famous grape village that most of the villagers plant grapes there. But because of the poor road condition, it was hard for villagers to earn money. In recent two years, two 8.4meters long concrete roads which direct to the grape bases were finished in the village. It greatly helped to promote the improvement of tourism there. Now there are 8000mu grape lands available in the village, more than 7000mu are fruiting. The annual output is over 10,000tons which contributes over 70million yuan income to the villagers. When reporters arrived there in recent days, the old houses were replaced by new buildings.

From the beginning of 2013, Yizhang county launched a three-year plan of “poverty alleviation battle for rural roads construction of 100 villages”. It focused on the construction of industrial roads, well-being roads, tourism roads and school roads to promote the improvement of rural road net. Specified leadership and supervision model was implemented there to solve the most urgent and urged problems of local people. Multiple financing modes were established in the county which lifted hot construction of rural roads.

It was introduced that in recent three years, 150million yuan capitals were placed by Yizhang county on the construction of 194kms rural roads, including 56.51kms industrial roads, 86.07kms well-being roads, 11.6kms tourism roads, and 39.82kms school roads. 85,000 farmers of 118 villages were greatly benefited from the roads.
