It is included in the provincial highway construction plan and one of the key projects for the Second Tourism Development Conference of Hunan Province.

 

The project starts at the entrance of Shenggongtan Temple in Yizhang County, and ends at the Rongjiadong Village. It links to the road leading to the east gate of Mangshan National Forest Park. The total length of the route is 2.42 kilometers. It is built according to the secondary highway standard, with a total investment of 199.8 million yuan, and the "Mangshan Taikong Tunnel" is one of the sub-projects.

 

According to reports, the tunnel is expected to be opened in mid-August, and the entire project is expected to be completed by the end of August.

 

After the project is completed and put into operation, it will connect famous tourist attractions such as Mangshan National Forest Park, Mangshan Wuzhifeng Scenic Area, and Layuan Ancient Village, promote the development of tourism resources along the route, and improve the traffic conditions for more than 100,000 people along the line.
