Natural Resources
Chenzhou is renowned as “The World Museum of Non-ferrous Metals”, “The Home of Non-ferrous Metals in China”, and “The Silver Capital of China”. The reserves of 113 minerals have been ascertained in Chenzhou, with the potential value up to 265.1 billion yuan. Among these minerals, the reserves of tungsten and bismuth top the world; those of neodymium and molybdenum rank first in China; those of tin and zinc rank third and fourth respectively in China. Chenzhou is also rich in specialized agricultural resources. It services as a production, processing and supply base for Guangdong, HK and Macau, providing green agricultural products.
 
Energy Sources
Energy sources are in abundant supply in Chenzhou. The coal reserve reaches 1.1 billion tons. 15 million tons of raw coals are produced each year, accounting for 25% of Hunan’s total output. This makes Chenzhou one of the 19 key coal districts and cities in China. With 1,700,000 KW of hydropower reserves, Chenzhou is the only comprehensive base in China which is established by the U.N. Small Hydropower Station Center. 
 
Tourism Resources
With more than 110 scenic spots, Chenzhou is known as “the Outstanding Tourist City in China” and “the City of Hot Springs in China”. Among the scenic spots in Chenzhou, four are at national 4A level, namely Mount Suxian, Dongjiang Lake, Fuquan Villa and Tiantang Hot Spring; two are at 3A level, that is, Wanhua Rock, and Ruilai Hot Spring. All these resources equip Chenzhou with an ecological tourist network featured by ecological entertainment, drifting, expedition, hot springs, the land of blessings and the Red Cradle.
