It was reported that the founding conference of Hunan Non-ferrous Metals Technical Committee for Standardization was held in Chenzhou Technical Supervision Bureau recently, which indicated that a whole new historic development period of non-ferrous metals standardization work started in Chenzhou city even Hunan province.

It was introduced that as the core element for the industrial development and market competition and one of the main methods for the promotion of technical progress and independent innovation, standard plays an important role on promotion of technical progress, regulation of market order, improvement of market competitiveness, and etc. In recent years, Hunan non-ferrous metals industry was being improved rapidly and the leading enterprises of non-ferrous metals industry tried great efforts to reach the commanding height of standard techniques. Hunan Non-ferrous Metals Technical Committee for Standardization which was replied on the powerful technical strength of the State Non-ferrous and Rare Metals Products Quality Supervision Test Center (Hunan) provided a common technical communication platform for the non-ferrous industry of Hunan province. It would be helpful for forming the collective forces of the industry, would provide new look for the standardization work of Hunan province, and would play more significant roles on development and application of non-ferrous metals products, study and formulation of product standard and test method, study of sustainable economy and energy saving & reduction of emission, and etc.

The provincial standard of “chemical analysis method for noble lead- measure of lead quantity”which was drawn up by the State Non-ferrous and Rare Metals Products Quality Supervision Test Center (Hunan) would become the first standard submitted to the approval of Hunan Non-ferrous Metals Technical Committee for standardization. It helped to fill the gap of analysis and measure method for the noble lead in China.

Hunan Non-ferrous Metals Technical Committee for Standardization became the second Hunan provincial level technical committee for standardization settled in Chenzhou city. The first one is Hunan Graphite Technical Committee for Standardization.
