It was learned from Zixing city that it was informed by Asia Development Bank that the loans for protection and comprehensive utilization of Dongjiang Lake ecological environment would take effect on June 14, 2016. The total amount of the loan is USD130million.

It was introduced that this project was covered with 1.62billion yuan, including 800million yuan loans from Asia Development Bank (about USD130million), 620million yuan from financial investments, and 200million yuan from social capitals. 13 items of 6 categories as pollution source control, river treatment, ecology recover, water supply of towns around Dongjiang Lake, environment monitoring and ecological protection, and institution construction and improvement of capacity were covered into the 5-year plan (2016-2020). It was purposely to protect the ecological condition of Dongjiang Lake area, ensure the strategic safety of water source, and promote sustainable economic development of Xiangjiang River.
