The qualified lithium-ion batteries will be applied in low-speed electric vehicles, garden tools, smart homes and other fields.

 

 

 

According to Jiang Xiaohua, chief engineer of Hunan Walton Power Technology, the company started its trial production on May 8 and produced 20,000 lithium-ion batteries with a qualified rate of 91%, which could be improved to 99% after the run-in period of staff and machines.

 

The success of the trial production also makes the company full of confidence in the official production around June 10. It ordered a new fully automatic machine earlier, which, along with its independent intellectual property system formed in the material system design, product research and development, production and manufacturing, and other core technology fields, will provide a guarantee for the improvement of productivity and qualified rate.

 

 

“Walton adopts the most advanced production technology in the country for lithium battery. At the same time, Walton integrates its core technology of independent research and development with the production technology to ensure the high-energy density and other characteristics of the products,” said a manager of the company, adding that this year the production of orders has been scheduled to the fourth quarter. With production gradually on track and the shift of the company’s production focus, the volume of orders will double and more than 200 new jobs will be created.

 

 

Jiang Xiaohua said, next, the company will construct its high-energy density lithium-ion battery research center in Linwu County and cultivate a batch of professionals for lithium battery, so as to improve its core competitiveness and enhance its brand popularity. Meanwhile, Walton will relocate its headquarters to Linwu and contribute to Linwu’s economic and social high-quality development.
