Recently, the Working Group of China (Hunan) Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ) issued a notification, announcing the establishment of the Collaborative Linkage Area of China (Hunan) Pilot Free Trade Zone. Suxian Industrial Development Zone has been selected as one of the areas.

 

Suxian Industrial Development Zone is located in the northern outskirts of Chenzhou City between Wulipai Town and Qifengdu Town in Suxian District. It is 22 kilometers away from the city center. In 2012, it was approved by the Provincial Development and Reform Commission as a provincial-level industrial concentration zone, and in July 2021, it was renamed Suxian Industrial Development Zone by the Provincial Development and Reform Commission. In 2022, with the approval of the provincial government, the planned area of the park was determined to be 267.51 hectares, and it has a development pattern of “one district and three parks” with the main areas of Qifengdu and Wulipai, as well as the sub-areas of Liangtian and Feitianshan. 

 

 

Among them, the Wulipai and Qifengdu main areas focus on the development of new energy, new materials, equipment manufacturing, electronic information, and other industries. The Liangtian sub-area focuses on the development of green new building materials industry, while the Feitianshan sub-area focuses on the development of energy recycling industry.

 

By the end of 2022, a total of 84 enterprises had settled in Suxian Industrial Development Zone, including 21 high-tech enterprises. The zone achieved a total revenue of 12.75 billion yuan from technology, industry, and trade, a scale industrial value-added of 1.734 billion yuan, and a total investment of 2.344 billion yuan in fixed assets.

 

After it is approved as a collaborative linkage area of China (Hunan) Pilot Free Trade Zone, the park’s collaborative cooperation with Hunan Pilot Free Trade Zone in terms of open platforms, channels, ports, industries, and environment will be further strengthened. This will enhance the breadth and depth of the zone’s opening-up and promote the development of a higher-level open economy.

 

In the next step, Suxian Industrial Development Zone will leverage the advantages of the collaborative linkage area platform of Hunan Pilot Free Trade Zone, gather advantageous industries in the zone, and build a modern industrial system. It will strengthen cooperation with Chenzhou Area of Hunan Pilot Free Trade Zone and conduct in-depth collaboration in areas such as industrial complementarity and shared development of the zones. It will comprehensively deepen the “dual-zone linkage” and lead the high-quality development of Suxian Industrial Development Zone through innovative development driven by free trade linkage.
