It planned to forge “city of wind power”

It was reported that a 2.5billion-yuan wind power project covered with 0.25million kilowatt installed capacity was signed by Guiyang county, China Three Gorges New Energy Corp., China Hydropower Consulting Group Investment Co., Ltd., and Hubei Longyuan New Energy Co., Ltd. on March 24, 2015.

It was introduced that thanks to Wuling mountain, Guiyang county is with abundant wind power energy- about 0.8-1.0million yuan million kilowatt and over 2000 hours effective utilization time of annual wind power. Guiyang county fully promoted the development of new energy industry especially for wind power energy. From 2010, four enterprises registered wind power companies in Guiyang county and built series wind power plants such as Luhejin, Tiantangshan, Qiaoshi (Shuiyuan), and etc. Both the investment scale and construction speed for the wind power projects of Guiyang county were ranked in top place of Hunan province.

In order to accelerate the construction of wind power project, Guiyang county set the target to build “city of wind power”and promoted and cultivated wind power industries as the key point of new emerging industry. At the mean time, Guiyang county took overall coordination of the planning and development of new energy (wind power), and solved the key problems concerned for the land, forestry, grid, environmental protection, water and soil conservation, historic preservation, people’s appeal, and etc. on the process of new energy construction. All of those strongly helped to promote the rapid and orderly promotion of wind power projects. Furthermore, the county required the projects owners to strictly follow the regulations as “solution on water and soil conservation and recovery of vegetation”, “solution on recovery of farmland and paddy fields”, “solution on recovery of destroyed roads”and etc., which effectively protected local ecological environment.

Till now, the signed exploration scale of wind power projects was up to 0.65million kilowatts and total investment hit 6.5billion yuan. Three wind power projects have been finished and placed to operation, which generated 510million kilowatt-hour electricity, accounting for saving 0.159million tons standard coals. It was estimated to reach 0.8million kilowatts installed capacity of new energy industry, provide 1.6billion kilowatt-hours of clear energy and reduce 0.5million tons of coal consumption in 2020.
