Yes, Jiahe county changed greatly that it is more beautiful, wider and more harmonious. It is totally different from the earlier days small county. It was recorded that on January 31, 2014 ( New Year Day of China lunar calendar) , 30,000 visitors which was equal to half amount of the inhabitants of Jiahe county’s downtown visited Jiulaofeng landscape; in June, 2014, the free public bus for the old and new downtown of Jiahe county was placed to operation; the music fountain of Jiabin lake was opened to public on September 8, 2014 ( the Middle Autumn Day of 2014); and Jiahe county took the 15th place of Hunan provincial comprehensive administration in the first half year of 2014, while the 2nd place of Chenzhou city.

In 2014, Jiahe County Party Committee and Jiahe Government accelerated the urban construction by powerfully promoting the upgrading of urban infrastructure construction and strictly implementing the responsibility mechanism of “one project, one team and one leader”. About 1billion yuan investment was placed on the urban infrastructure construction, including 183 key projects as the upgrading and reconstruction of Guijia road, Harmonious road of urban area, Jiajin road, Jialan road, Jiaxin road, and etc.; reconstruction of backstreets and alleys, shanty towns, urban villages, and dangerous houses; reconstruction of sewage treatment facilities, garbage treatment facilities, water supply facilities and rural dangerous houses; improvement of Jiabin lake, Jiulaofeng landscape, road network, and upgrading of seven mountains. All of those greatly helped to perfect overall functions of the downtown.

At the meantime, Jiahe county took active actions on the upgrading of administration and appearance of the county. Focused on the establishment of national garden county, it placed more than 8million yuan on the construction of public toilets, waste transfer stations, garbage bins, sealed dustbins, and etc.; and placed over 3million yuan purchasing sanitation facilities, which facilitated the county with more than 30 special sanitation vehicles and increased the mechanized rate to be 80%. Furthermore, Jiahe county placed 8million yuan on brightening night scene of Jiahe county. It was learned that 80million yuan have been finished on “light up Jiahe” project. It take special attention on emphasizing the checking and maintenance of lamps and other lighting facilities; highlighting the night scene project; and establishing a special night scene lighting system and night scene space with Jiahe features. Currently, the lighting up rate for the main streets of Jiahe county reached 98%.
