At present, there are 35 enterprises in the optoelectronic display industry, with an expected output value of 5 billion yuan this year and 10 billion yuan in 2025, and 16 enterprises in the fluorine lithium new energy industry, including 5 lithium battery enterprises, with an expected output value of 7 billion yuan this year and 10 billion yuan next year.

 

Chenzhou is developing into a “battery city”. Jiang Zhangming, chairman of Yizhang Zhicun New Materials Co., Ltd., has great confidence in the future. He said, “Next, we will carry out technological innovation to form a complete industrial chain as soon as possible based on our resource advantages, contributing to the Chenzhou new energy lithium battery industry. We will seek further development in the new materials sector with higher added value and introduce large downstream enterprises to achieve win-win cooperation, in a bid to make Chenzhou’s lithium battery industry bigger and stronger.”

 

Hunan Geruipu New Energy Co., Ltd. is also optimistic about the development prospects of Chenzhou. The group has established its production and manufacturing center in Chenzhou High-tech Zone.

 

At present, the intelligent project for high-performance lithium-ion power batteries with an annual output of 500 million watt hours and the pilot base project for high rate lithium-ion power battery materials are both under construction. And the intelligent project is expected to be put into trial production before the end of December, and can achieve product sales revenue of over 1.5 billion yuan after full production.

 

In the future, the company will also establish Hunan Geruipu Innovation Product Research Institute to promote the construction of the Chenzhou lithium battery new energy industry cluster.

 

Besides, Guiyang County is also cultivating emerging industries represented by new energy and new materials. It has established a complete industrial chain including raw ore mining and selection, lithium carbonate production, battery materials, new energy vehicle manufacturing, and tailings recycling, and introduced two lithium battery projects of Dawei Technology and Hanyao Lithium Technology Co., Ltd., both of which have started construction. It is expected that lithium carbonate manufactured in Guiyang will be available in October next year.

 

In 2022, the investment amount for the lithium battery new energy industry in the city reached 140.7 billion yuan.

 

As of now, a total of 154 projects have been signed in the lithium battery new energy industry of Chenzhou, 91 of which have made substantial progress, with a total investment of 51.9 billion yuan completed.

 

Chenzhou has formed an industrial closed loop including the mining and selection of lithium containing mineral resources, lithium carbonate production, positive electrode materials, and comprehensive recycling of waste power batteries. It can achieve 115,000 tons of lithium carbonate a year and 47.5GWh of battery production, and drive the supporting industries to achieve a total output value of 230 billion yuan in the lithium-ion industry chain.
