The lithium battery new energy industry chain project invested by Hunan Hanyao Lithium Industry Co., Ltd is one of the seven major lithium battery consortium projects in Chenzhou City, which has been listed as a provincial key project in 2024.

 

In recent years, Guiyang has attracted a large amount of investment in the lithium battery industry with its abundant lithium mineral resources. Among them, Hunan Hanyao Lithium Industry has made rapid progress in the construction of the entire lithium battery industry chain project in Guiyang, becoming a highlight in the development of the local new energy industry.

 

Hunan Hanyao’s project, which covers multiple links such as lithium mining and selection, lithium carbonate processing, is committed to building a closed-loop industry chain from resource development to tailings disposal.

 

The project will be built in two phases. The first phase is a 200,000-ton experimental line for comprehensive utilization of minerals, and the second is the 20,000-ton lithium carbonate project. 

 

At present, the main structures of the comprehensive building and the research building for the first phase of of the project have been completed and is under decoration. 

 

It is expected to complete the decoration of the two buildings and equipment debugging on April 30, and the equipment commissioning in production will be carried out in May.

 

Hunan Hanyao’s lithium battery industrial chain project will promote efficient utilization and recycling of resources in Guiyang county. Given that the complex lithium containing kaolin ore is difficult for processing in the Huishanping mining area of Guiyang county, Hunan Hanyao has invested over 10 million yuan in scientific research funds and has established deep cooperation with research institutes such as the Zhengzhou Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Shenyang Aluminium and Magnesium Engineering and Research Institute) to achieve breakthrough in the innovation of process technology. 

 

It has developed a green and efficient extraction technology for low-grade associated lithium resources in the Huishanping mining area of Guiyang County, laying the foundation for building a national demonstration base for efficient comprehensive utilization of resources and green tailings-free mines.

 

It plans to establish a comprehensive mining production line with an annual processing capacity of 3 million tons, using new processes and equipment to achieve production with zero tailings discharge. 

 

Next, the county government will intensify various supporting measures to accelerate the development of lithium battery new energy industry projects, and inject strong impetus into the development of the new energy industry in Guiyang and even the whole country.
