2023-07-27

Guiyan Resources Limited is one of the representative enterprises engaged in the rare and precious metal industry in Yongxing County. In 2022, the company’s silver production capacity accounted for one-fourth of the county’s total, and the output of rare and precious metals exceeded 3 tons.

Thanks to its long-term involvement in refining silver and rare and precious metals, the company has independently developed a new electrolytic silver process system, which has reduced the electrolysis time from 48 hours to 22 hours. The amount of mother liquor consumed per ton of silver has also decreased from 3 tons to 2 tons.

At Hunan Fuyin New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., the Jingtailan series of products are an upgraded version of traditional silver products. The market and profitability have significantly improved compared to raw silver in the past.

Since last year, Yongxing County has made every effort to create a “Silver City of China” and serve as a model for high-quality development in the non-ferrous industry. The project focuses on enterprises as the main body and takes clean production technology transformation as the main approach, aiming to achieve green transformation and upgrading.

Currently, there are 30 key enterprises engaged in comprehensive recycling and utilization of rare and precious metals, 10 enterprises specializing in deep processing, and 21 national high-tech enterprises in the industrial park.

Bin Xinhua, deputy party secretary and mayor of Yongxing County, said that Yongxing County will adhere to ecological priority and green development, firmly establish a coordinated development path for the dominant industry of rare and precious metals and the distinctive industry of fine chemicals.

The county aims to establish a complete industry chain from raw silver to high-purity silver and high-tech silver products, create a brand for the development of a circular economy that turns waste into treasure, and make every effort to build a world-class, green, innovative, efficient, and low-carbon industrial cluster for rare and precious metals.
