YEDZ achieves revenue of 125.1 billion yuan from technology, industry and trade

2025-03-01

Recently, pieces of silver-containing waste were transformed into exquisite silver jewelry and silverware after multiple processes at the Bitang Industrial Park in Yongxing Economic Development Zone (YEDZ).

In 2024, Yongxing Economic Development Zone was honored in Hunan province for the implementation of “Five Good Park” construction and the excellent business environment. It also won the titles of the “National Green Park” and “Provincial Carbon Peak Pilot”. Last year, the park achieved a total revenue of 125.1 billion yuan from technology, industry and trade.

The park has formed an industrial pattern based on the rare and precious metal industry cluster through accelerated technological innovation and industrial upgrading. Various waste materials from all over the country, including non-ferrous metals, mechanical and electrical equipment, and electroplating sludge, are processed here every day, with a circular economy model formed. Yongxing Guiyan Resources Co., Ltd. here became the first enterprise in Chenzhou with a revenue of over 10 billion yuan. The electronic information industry has emerged, and Jenson Display has been awarded such titles as the national manufacturing single-item champion enterprise.

The high-standard pilot base has been established for scientific and technological innovation in the rare and precious metal industry in the park to solve technical problems such as industrial upgrading, and chain extension in the process of resource recycling. The pilot project of “Preparation of Photovoltaic Silver Powder and Silver Paste” is expected to overcome the technical bottleneck of China’s dependence on imported photovoltaic silver powder.

In 2024, there was one provincial-level pilot base for the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, four expert workstations, and 14 “little giant” enterprises at provincial level or above in the park. The average yield per mu in the park continued to increase. In 2024, the total income from technology, industry, and trade per mu (about 0.067 hectares) hit 10.55 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 15%, ranking among the top in the province.
