On July 31, 2012, reporters witnessed that 11 roads of Tangdong urban area and Dongjiang urban area were on the process of upgrading, the south section of Zixing road was implementing dressing project, and the greening landscape renovation of Zixing section of Chenzhou road was near to the end. Till now, 17 upgrading projects are under the time schedule, which will fulfill 400 million yuan investment and be expected to end before August 28, 2012.

In order to forge the most beautiful “water town of China” and hold 2012 China Hunan International Tourism Festival & the 2nd China Chenzhou International Leisure Travel Tourism Festival, many upgrading projects were accelerated in Zixing. One billion yuan was planned to invest on seven projects such as the urban area road upgrading, garden greening landscape renovation, small Dongjiang river scenery upgrading, scenery belt upgrading along the river, lighting-up project in central city, dressing project of south section of Zixing road, beautification of Zixing, etc..

It was learned from Housing Bureau of Chenzhou that with 200 million yuan investment, the upgrading project of 11 roads was to renovate 8 sub-projects like sidewalk, water supply network, street lamps, telecom and television lines, build more public bus stops and set more rubbish bins, pave gas pipelines and lay pitch on the road surface, etc., 80% of which have been completed now. The dressing project of south section of Zixing road covered the wall painting, slopping roof rectification, standardized air-conditioner hanging, etc., in which the street view regulation from Liyujiang Bridge to Linhai square would be finished soon.

Meanwhile, Zixing spent much effort in promoting “green town project” so that many greening belts, lands and sceneries with the focus of peripheral greening circle of central city, Dongjiang river greening belt, Dongjiang cultural square, Shizishan mountain forest park, city roads lines, and other representative city greening projects were built accordingly. Furthermore, four entrances on east, west, south and north of central city were also under upgrade so that 17 garden greening projects were fulfilled and 10 million yuan was invested on the garden greening landscape renovation of Zixing section on Chenzhou road. Till now, green trees’ planting with 1.6kms are accomplished. 21.72 hectares greening areas and 18000 arbor trees are added in Zixing city, which enables Zixing urban greening coverage to reach 855 hectares with the rate of 43.05%.
