It was reported that Zhang Aiguo- Member of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee Standing Committee and Deputy Mayor of Chenzhou City visited Tungsten Department of China Minmetals on August 8, 2014 and discussed some cooperation details with Yang Bohua- Deputy General Manager of China Minmetals and Chief Director of Tungsten Department.
From the beginning of 2014, a new divisional system which was followed the operation model of “one headquarter, multiple operation branches”was carried out in China Minmetals. Its Tungsten Department was in charge of managing the tungsten production bases of Hunan, Jiangxi and Sichuan province. Zhang Aiguo stated that Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Chenzhou Government placed great attention to promote the cooperation with China Minmetals, and took active actions on the integration of mineral resources to improve the deepening processing of minerals. Zhang expressed his willing that China Minmetals would keep placing Chenzhou city as the key investment place to increase more investments on the development and utilization of some resources as tungsten, bismuth, fluorine processing, and etc. Zhang also hoped that Chenzhou city’s advantages of resources and China Minmetals advantages of resources, technologies and talents could be well played to improve the deepening processing and upgrade products’ value, so a win-win cooperation can be reached between two parties.

Yang said under the macro condition of the industrial structure adjustment of China Minmetals, more attention would be placed on Chenzhou city’s tungsten carbide, bismuth, fluorine processing and etc. It planned to increase 2 billion yuan investment on Chenzhou city in following 3 years, which was purposely to hit the target of 5 billion yuan sales revenue and 400million yuan tax payment by handling the technological improvement, capacity expansion, construction and industrial integration. It would also carry out the construction of Chenzhou Tungsten Group on the process to improve Chenzhou city’s tungsten industry and other non-ferrous metal industries.
