Hunan Non-ferrous Metal (Chenzhou) Index web

It was reported that online meeting of Hunan Non-ferrous Metal (Chenzhou) Index web & founding meeting of index research center was held in Chenzhou city on August 21, 2014. Qu Hai- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou City announced the online of web and setting up of research center. Xiong Chen- Chief Economist of Hunan Economy and Information Committee and some municipal leaders of Chenzhou city attended the meeting.

Chenzhou city which was a resource –based city of non-ferrous metals was famous as “non-ferrous metal museum of the world”, “non-ferrous metal city of China” and “silver city of China”. Chenzhou city plays an important role on the production and marketing of small metals in China even the world. With the supports of People’s Bank of China Changsha Branch, People’s Bank of China Chenzhou Central Branch worked together with Chenzhou Economy and Information Committee to establish “monitoring and analysis mechanism of Hunan non-ferrous metals”. It would present the performance report of non-ferrous metal industry by monitoring the monthly financial data and quarter prosperity data of 33 leading non-ferrous metals enterprises of Hunan province.

On June 28, 2012, “Hunan non-ferrous metals (Chenzhou) index” was released successfully by selecting 9 non-ferrous metals as wolfram, bismuth, stibium, molybdenum, silver, gold, lead, tin and zinc from the monitoring data recorded in earlier three years. Till the end of this July, 110 periods of index weekly, 10 periods of quarter prosperity index, over 50 special analysis reports were published by the research center. Thanks to the indexes which indicated the operation condition and development of the industry, the government, banks, enterprises, and etc. could get the useful information to guide their figuring of planning.

In this February, “Hunan Non-ferrous Metal (Chenzhou) Index web” and “Hunan Non-ferrous Metal (Chenzhou) index research center” were approved by Chenzhou Government. Index web would be separated from the government web to publish the indexes, news, products information, and etc. independently, which would be helpful to provide more comprehensive information and service for the enterprises and institutes.

Research center would be in charge of forming and releasing the non-ferrous indexes by integrating the resources and talents, especially on the upgrading of its research level to provide more helpful information to the government, enterprises and investor. It aimed to be upgraded as a center with the functions of forming, releasing, analysis, promotion and application to support non-ferrous industry’s sustainable development.
