A press conference was held for the mineral show

It was reported that a press conference for one of the activities of third China (Hunan) International Mineral & Gem Show – “beautiful Chenzhou mineral show” domestic and foreign media interview trip- was held on April 20, 2015. Yi Pengfei- Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Qu Hai- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou City met 50 journalists from 37 domestic and foreign media and sincerely hope they can comprehensively propaganda and promote the reform and opening up, economic and social development and changes of urban and rural areas of Chenzhou city by this trip.

Yi Pengfei expressed his warm welcome to all the journalists. Yi said all preparation work for the mineral show was being handled out well and Chenzhou city would try all best to forge the mineral show to be an international mineral show with unique features, sound influence and high level.

Yi Pengfei presented a brief introduction of Chenzhou city to the media. He said Chenzhou city is an ancient but open city with abundant humanistic connotations, multiple open culture, and convenient transportation. He expressed the confidence that the mineral show which would be held in Chenzhou city can attract worldwide concerns and investors and extend wide international influence. The mineral show is a real “expo held in pitch head” for Chenzhou city is a beautiful and fertile city with rich resources and treasures. It would be promoted to be a unique and charming show. Chenzhou city is a glorious and livable city with rapid development, sound ecological environment condition, and good air quality, which well met the principals of holding international event and is much attractive to the famous merchants and high-end public figures. It would be a great chance for propagandizing city image and promoting the regional transformation development of Chenzhou city.

Yi stated that the mineral show was approved by the State Council and was co-sponsored by the State Land and Resource Ministry and Hunan Provincial Government as the exclusive mineral show platform of China, and it is also one of the largest professional mineral & gem shows of Asia at present. It is helpful to upgrade Chenzhou city’s international and modernization level, promote the new development of Chenzhou city under the New Normal, and gather positive energy of reform development of Chenzhou city.

Qu Hai introduced the main economic and social achievements reached by Chenzhou city in recent years to the media. Qu said Chenzhou city is charming, open, vigorous and hopeful city. Along with the great efforts tried by Chenzhou city in recent years, the main economic indexes, economic scale and development quality of Chenzhou city were placed in the first phalanx of Hunan province and it kept the regional leading place on the speed and quality of development, urban and rural image and external image. As the “south gate”of Hunan province and “front position” of reform and opening up, Chenzhou city was facilitated with sound industrial foundation, abundant mineral and gem resources, obvious location advantage, perfect opening platform, sound infrastructure, rich exhibition experience and perfect comprehensive service capacity, all of which were advantages for Chenzhou city to hold the mineral show.

Qu stated that this mineral show is “an expo held in the pithead. Currently, the investment attraction of it is hot and all preparation work is being handled out well. In the next step, much more attention would be placed on the marketing, decoration and other work to ensure the mineral show to be a unique and effective show. It was purposely to cultivate mineral and gem industry to be a new type of business and new increasing pole of Chenzhou economic development.

Chenzhou Municipal Land and Resource Bureau introduced some information of Chenzhou city and the mineral show on the conference as well.

Zhang Xihui- Member of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee Standing Committee and Minister of Chenzhou Municipal Propaganda Department hosted the conference.
