It was reported that the opening ceremony of Yijie Xiangnan Fruit Market was held in the morning of November 25, 2014. The market is located in the crossing of extension part of Guoqing south road and Chenzhou Avenue. Its opening indicated that Wuling fruit wholesale market was integrally moved to the new place.

Mr. Luo who lives in urban area of Chenzhou city drove to the new market with his wife to select some fresh fruits. As he said the price would be much cheaper than supermarkets and fruit stands, so he intended to be there on learning the opening news of the market.

It was learned that Yijie Xiangnan Fruit Market which was invested with 80million yuan and covered with 27,000mu construction areas was settled down in Xiangnan International Logistics Park. It was facilitated with 262 stores and the biggest controlled frozen warehouse of south Hunan province which was with the warehousing capacity of 10,000tons. As one of the key investment attraction projects, this fruit market is the exclusive fruits wholesale market and the biggest one of Chenzhou city as well under current situation.

Reporters traveled around the market after the opening ceremony and found all the stores were opened. Besides pomelo, orange, sweet orange and other seasonal fruits, some other fruits as watermelon, bergamot pear, cantaloupe, winter jujube, and imported fruits were available there. Some of the retails from urban area gathered there to purchase their products.
Compared with Wuling fruit wholesale market, this new market was facilitated with better condition. Long Zhuli who was one of the merchants moved to the new market said to the reporters excitedly: “this new market is much better than the old one and is with wider roads. We sincerely hope the businesses will be better and better there, and also hope that the government can open more public buses lines to facilitate the new market with better transportation condition.”

“The road condition is quite good for the new market and also it is easier to be here once exited from the expressway.”said Yao Ke’an- a supplier of Shanxi royal pear. Though the location, hardware condition, and parking condition are good for the new market, Yao still hoped that there would be some more supporting facilities as hotels, clinics, convenient stores, and etc. to be settled down there, which would help to grant the long-journey merchants with more convenient condition

Till now, all 262 stores of the market have been rented out and the 140 fruit merchants have opened their business to public.
