Recently, Dr. Peng’s Zixing Computing Center project officially settled in Zixing City, Chenzhou. The project covers a planned land area of about 20 mu (about 1.3 hectares), with an estimated total investment of 3 billion yuan.
This cooperation with Dr.Peng provides constant driving force for the development of the big data industry in Zixing City, marking another solid step forward in Zixing’s efforts to build a national new data valley.
In recent years, Zixing City has taken the big data industry as the first industry, and given priority to the big data with policies, funds and talents.
Relying on the Dongjiang Lake, a huge natural cold source with a water temperature of 8 to 13 degrees Celsius all the year round, abundant electric power, unique geographic location and excellent ecological environment, Zixing built the Dongjiang Lake Big Data Industrial Park in Dongjiang Bay with an area of 4,500 mu (300 hectares) and a total investment of 50 billion yuan, which can accommodate a data center with 200,000 standard racks and big data enterprises.
It’s committed to building the most green, energy-saving, natural cooling data center demonstration base and South China Green Data Valley.
A series of policies were launched to promote the development of the big data industry, and six major actions like infrastructure construction, establishment of green data centers and extension of the data chain were implemented.
It strives to have 10,000 racks in the park by the end of 2023, with a computing power of 0.5EFlops and a storage capacity of 3EB. The big data industry will be built into a new engine driving the high-quality development of the city.
To reduce the cost of power consumption in the big data industry, Zixing City took a series of measures to promote the project construction. It has completed 3,000 mu (200 hectares) of state-owned land reserve and connected with water, electricity, road, gas and information, completed fixed assets investment of 3 billion yuan, and built supporting facilities like leisure park, big data exhibition center and talent apartments.
Meanwhile, it actively introduces high-end and scarce talents for the big data industry, connects with such departments as Administration Center of China E-government Network and China Center for Information Industry Development, vigorously focuses on investment attraction to comprehensively promote the stable development of the big data industry.
Since its establishment, the big data industrial park has introduced 62 enterprises, including provincial e-government cloud, Alibaba Cloud, Tecent Cloud and Taobao. Data storage services involve government affairs, finance and the Internet.
In 2022, it achieved IDC leasing revenue of 120 million yuan, bandwidth revenue of 250 million yuan, and tax revenue of 32 million yuan.
